Granularity model (User, Year, Currency, Institution)
BudgetInMind fundamentally interprets finance data as belonging to a given User, in a given Year and for a given Currency. Therefore, prior to entering any financial data, you will have to create at least one {User, Currency, year} triplet to operate on. We will explain later in this chapter how to create them and how to switch from one to the other.
Note: To simplify the entry & process, you can also filter book entries to only those affecting a given Bank Institution.
iPad
On the iPad, you access the management and/or selection of years, users, currencies and bank institutions through the action menu at the top-right of the screen.
You can also use the quick select buttons on the toolbar to select the active year, user or currency.
Important: You must purchase the user module and/or the currency module to respectively create, manage and select different users or currencies.
Mac
Please consult BudgetInMind for Mac help, section 2.0 to see how to manage and select users, currencies, years and bank institutions.
